Student Achievements in GATE

Student Activities:

• On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, 26th June 2025. Prof. Kumar Molugaram, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University felicitated Karthik Barupatla, final-year Biomedical Engineering student, for securing a Gold Medal in Debate and a Silver Medal in English Poetry at the institution-level competitions on Anti-Drug Awareness, conducted by the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau.
• B.E. third-year students, K. Harika and M. Jaideep, under the guidance of Dr. K. E. Ch. Vidyasagar, have participated in the Model Presentation Competition at the national-level technical symposium Spoorthi 2025, held at JNTUH, and have secured First Prize for the model titled “Neuro Driven Mobility & Emergency Aid for Individuals with Limited Mobility”
• B.E. third-year students, K. Harika and M. Jaideep, under the guidance of Dr. K. E. Ch. Vidyasagar, have participated in the Model Presentation Competition at the national-level technical symposium PROMETHEAN 2025, held at BVRIT Narsapur, and have secured First Prize for the model titled “NeuroDriven Mobility & Emergency Aid for Individuals with Limited Mobility” on 10/4/2025
• Ch. Shaarvani of BE VI semester secured IIT Madras Summer Fellowship for the year 2025 in the Department of Medical Science and Technology. She also secured the internship at IIT Hyderabad.
• B.E. third-year students ,Ch. Shaarvani and N. Seethala won the First Prize in the Neuroknack competition and Ch. Shaarvani and Prasanna Devika  secured the First Prize in the Decode and Reveal competition  at PROMETHEAN 2025, a national-level technical symposium held at BVRIT Narsapur.
• Ms Prasanna Devika of BE V semester has secured an internship at Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre of IIT Madras on 07-01-2025.
• Saneya Siddiqui,  Saniya Mahreen, Karthik, Mahesh and Dinesh of BE final year are selected for Telangana Pollution Control Board internship at a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 on 13-12-2024.
• We are happy to share that Ms. Saneya Siddiqui, a final year student of BE Biomedical Engineering, University College of Engineering has won 3rd prize in an all India level essay writing competition organized by Comptroller & Auditor General of India(CAG) on the account of Audit Diwas. She received a cash award of Rs.30,000 and a medal on 16th November 2024 in New Delhi.
• I am happy to share that Ms Saneya Siddiqui and Ms Mehvish have secured first prize in the NTPC Electron Quiz 2025 Regional Round and have received prize of ₹30,000 from our honourable VC Prof M Kumar. With this win, they will now be representing the Southern Region and our college in the National Semi Finals at Power Management Institute (PMI), Noida. 
• BE VIII Semester student Ruchitha received Challa Rajendra Prasad Overall All rounder Award 2024.
• BE VIII Semester student Kona Divya Rani won 2nd place in OU taksh 2024 model presentation.
• BE III Semester students Ms. Hema Harshitha, Ms. Krithika Reddy and  Mr. Vaibhav Thakur successfully completed NPTEL Online swayam course on Problem Solving through Programming In C.
• BE IV Semester students Ms. Saneya Rafeeque Siddiqui and Saniya Mahreen won first prize in the National NTPC Electron Quiz 2023  held on December 6th and 7th 2023 at PMI, Noida. They initially secured first place in the NTPC southern region quiz in Hyderabad before competing at the national level.
• Students of the Department of BME participated in OUCE HACKATHON-2023, and the teams of “Myoarm” won the first prize, “Sign talk” team won 4th position, one consolation prize was also won by a team of a department.
• BE BME III Semester student Ms. Anoud won the gold medal in 10KMs Hans Hyderabad Marathon at Gachibowli on 10^th September, 2023.
• BE VI Sem Students Ruchitha, Anatha Sai, Revanth published an International Journal Paper Signal to Image Conversion and Convolutional Neural Networks for Physiological Signal Processing: A Review in IEEE Access.

• BE VI Sem Students Ruchitha, Anatha Sai and Chandana participated in 5 day workshop on Applied Data Science for Healthcare organised by Department of CSE, IIIT, Nagpur during 29^th May - 2^nd June, 2023.
• BE VI Sem Student Divya participated as a part of Telangana senior girls team in 2^nd Nationals floor curling championship 2023 held in Arunachal Pradesh and won Silver medal.
• Four BE VIII Semester students Mr. Nagaraju, Mr. Rajesh, Ms. Vaishnavi, Ms. Tharuni selected for Internship in KIMS hospital with a package of 25,000/- followed by Job opportunity.
• Ms. Dharani of BE VIII semester is selected as Intern in AIG hospitals with package of 25,000/- followed by Job opportunity.
• BE VIII Semester student Ms. Sharmila Chowdary selected for Project internship in DEBEL, Bangalore and she also secured 94 percentile in CAT.
• BE VIII Semester student Manaswini selected for internship in DRDO, Delhi.
• BE IV Semester student Ms. Saniya Mahreen won prize in Essay writing and Elocution by Honourable Governor of Telangana State Dr. Tamilasai Sowdaranjan in Raj bhavan in State level competition held as part of creating awareness on India's Presidency of G20 on 10^th Jan, 2023.
• BE IV Semester student Ms. Saneya Rafeeque Siddiqui won I prize in Model Exhibition competition at Startup Ideation Program in NSD 2023 during 2-3 March, 2023 organised by Department of Microbiology, UCSOU.
• BE IV Semester student Ms. Saniya Mahreen won II prize in Model Exhibition competition at Startup Ideation Program in NSD 2023 during 2-3 March, 2023 organised by Department of Microbiology, UCSOU.
• BE IV Semester student Mr. Karthik Barupatla secured 1^st place in debate competition held in EEE dept UCEOU on the occasion of "National Mathematics Day" on 1st March 2023.
• 5 BE student teams presented 5 models in Daksha 2k23, A National level Techno-Cultural Symposium organised by Anurag University on 9^th & 10^th March, 2023 under the guidance of Dr. K.E.Ch. Vidyasagar and 3 models secured prizes:

1. M Ruchita (3rd Yr) and V. Abhiram (3rd yr) secured the first prize for their model in the AI & ML dept

2. Anantha Sai (3rd Yr) and Revanth Kumar (3rd Yr) secured the first prize for their model in the CSE dept

3. M.Srimanth (3rd Yr) and Saneya Siddiqui (2nd Yr) secured the second prize for their model in the ECE dept.

• BE IV Semester student Ms. Saneya Rafeeque Siddiqui won II prize in Essay writing competition on The Constitution safeguard for the Tribals in Sri Sri Sri Santh Sevalal Maharaj 284th Jayanthi Celebrations organised by the Director, SC/ST Cell in collaboration with BC Cell, Minorities Cell & BR Ambedkar research Centre, OU.
• Third year student V. Abhiram is selected in Student Exchange Programme by Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan during 9 - 15 February 2023.
• Final year student Pavani Thadem presented a paper titled BCI-based home hardware automation system at the 36th Annual meeting of the Society for Neurochemistry India (SNCI) and International Conference on One Health and Translational Research in Neurosciences jointly organized by Dr. G.M. Taori Central India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur and IIIT Nagpur from 10-12 November 2022.
• Third-year student Anantha Sai has won an II prize in the paper presentation titled Early Diagnosis for Prenatal Asphyxia using Deep Learning in a National level technical symposium, Promethean 2K22 held during 12-13 October 2022 in BVRIT, Narsapur.
• Third-year students K. Revanth, Anantha Sai, M. Ruchita, T Jaswanth, and Abhiram attended the 2nd Indo-Norway Workshop on Smart Sensing, Communication and Machine Learning for Autonomous and Cyber-Physical Systems (IN-SSCOM-22) workshop organized by the University of Agder, Norway, and Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India, between October 14 - October 16, 2022.

• Ms. Kona Divya Rani, a third-year BE BME student participated in the 1st South Zone National Air Gun Championship-2022 held at Karur, Tamil Nadu, and won the gold medal. She has participated in the “Air Gun Association of Telangana” representing Telangana and won a Gold medal in the Team category.
• Ms. K. Divya Rani won gold medal in 2nd All India crossbow shooting championship in November 2022.
• Ms. K. Divya rani won the silver medal in shooting in 2nd sansad khel spardha held in Agra in January 2023.
• Third-year student Anantha Sai has won an II prize in the paper presentation titled Early Diagnosis for Prenatal Asphyxia using Deep Learning in a National level technical symposium, Promethean 2K22 held during 12-13 October 2022 in BVRIT, Narsapur.
• BE VI Semester students visited Skanray Technologies, Mysore from 16^th - 21^st July 2022 under an industrial tour, Skanray houses medical device manufacturing.
• BE II and IV Semester students visited Med Avio Polymers, Cherlapally, Hyderabad on 16^th July 2022 under an industrial trip. It houses the Manufacturing of medical disposable products and the Operation of CNC and injection moulding machines.
