  • MEDITECH 2025 was successfully organized in the department during March 21-22, 2025. Coordinator Dr. M. Srinivas
  • Hands-on workshop on Biomaterials: Exploring the Cutting Edge and Real World Applications organised in the department on 19th March 2025. Coordinator: Dr. G. Shravanya
  • A seminar by GSPR Consulting Services on:  Beyond the Degree: Build Your Dream Career  was organised in the department on 10th March 2025  (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
  • A two-day hands-on workshop on IoT for Medical Applications is conducted in the department during 17th and 18th February 2025.
  • The department has successfully organized ATAL FDP on Additive Manufacturing based surface modification Techniques for Innovative Medical Solutions from 06th January 2025 to 11th January 2025 with Dr. K.E.Ch. Vidyasagar and Dr. D. Suman as the Coordinators. All the resource persons were from prestigious institutes (IIT,IIIT. NIT) and research organisations (ARCI).
  • Mr. Gurucharan Das, Integration Manager at Memmert GmBH,Germany and 2018 alumnus interacted with students and presented an overview on Job Opportunities and Higher Education in Germany on 02-01-2025.
  • National Seminar on Recent Trends in Medical Equipment (RTME 2024) hosted by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, in association with BMESI OUCE Student Council in Department of Biomedical engineering during 25th and 26th October 2024.
  • A guest lecture by Professor Sabrina Jedlicka, Deputy Provost for Graduate Education, Lehigh University, USA and renowned professor in the field of Biomimicry is organized on 16/10/2024 in the seminar Hall, BME department.
  • Prof. KVS Hari, IISC Bangalore interacted with faculty and students on 26th September, 2024.
  • Two days Hands-on workshop on “BIOMATERIALS AND FABRICATION TECHNIQUES” 1st - 2nd March, 2024 organised by BMESI OUCE in collaboration with IEEE EMBS chapter, Coordinator-Dr. G. Shravanya.

  • Online interaction session with Mr. Balu T, Patent Examiner & Design, Chennai, Mr. Aditya Venkateshwara, Patent examiner and design, Indian Patent Office, Chennai and Ms. Sravanthi, Patent Examiner & Design, Chennai on 16-08-2023.
  • 5 Invited talks and 22 research papers were successfully presented in BME track as part of the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering (ICETE), 2023 organised by the Seven departments of University College of Engineering (A), in association with Alumni assoc., UCEOU during 28-30 April, 2023.
  • Two Days workshop on Tumor Detection using Machine Learning Algorithms is organised in the department as part of Meditech, 2023 during 24-25 April, 2023. Speaker of the event is Dr. Ayan Debnath, Senior Data scientist at Bosch Global Software Technologies.
  • National level Technical Symposium Meditech 2023 was successfully organised in the department. The chief guest of the inaugural was Dr. Konda Vishweswar Reddy Entrepreneur, Biomedical Engineer, and renowned Politician.
  • A National Seminar is organised on “Emerging Trends in Medical Device Regulations-2023” (ETMDR-23) in collaboration with HCDC, OU on 25th Feb, 2023, Sponsored by DST-TSCOST under National Science Day celebrations NSD-2023. Coordinator- Dr. D. Suman.
  • Hands on training of Medical Equipment workshop is organised on 04th Mar, 2023, Sponsored by DST-TSCOST under National Science Day celebrations NSD-2023. Coordinator-Mr. M. Srinivas.

  • Dr. Thota Ganesh, Asso. Prof, Emory University delivered a guest lecture on Career and Research opportunities in Biomedical Engineering on 29th November 2022 in the department of BME, UCEOU.
  • Mr. Mrutunjay Jena, Scientist G, Head – Accreditation and Training, AMTZ delivered a guest lecture on the Role of Standards, Calibrations, Accreditations & Regulations in the Biomedical Engineering Sector in the department on 15th November 2022.

  • A two-day workshop on Hands-on Training on Critical Care Equipment in association with IEEE OUCE EMBS Student Chapter is organized in the department on 7th & 8th July 2022.
  • Guest lecture series on MR Imaging by Dr. Uday B. Krishnamurthy, Senior Scientist & Collaborations Manager, Seimens Healthineers is organized by the department as part of the learning from Industry experts program from 12th - 15th July 2022.
  • Mr. K. Harish conducted Student Training on Future Skill technologies through online mode on AI & ML during 5th August-4th September 2021.
